LIGHTING FOR THE INTERIOR INSTALLATION MODEL
This collaborative installation project was geared toward creating a light fixture that created different lighting effects. We researched lighting fixtures that cast different shadows and the use of different lighting effects such as grazing. From there, we developed this final design through sketches and smaller mock models to test our design initiative. We created a template on AutoCAD to correctly size each of the triangular forms that were placed on top of the prism. The final design manipulates strong direct light placed in the bottom portion of the fixture, defusing the light into soft, reflected color that create varying hues and shades projected on any surface above the fixture as lighting angles change.
