I am a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Magna Cum Laude with a B.F.A. in Interior Design and a minor in Architectural History. I studied at the SCAD campus in Lacoste, France and have been a resident of New York City since graduation. /i currently work in high end residental design, with previous professional experience in workplace and hospitality design.

Awarded by the IALD Education Trust to attend key industry events, seminars and conferences at LIGHTFAIR, the world's largest architectural lighting design conference and trade show.

ASID LAUNCH February 26-28, 2016 Hosted by SCAD, goal to enhance students understanding of the impact of design on people and their environments. The interactive experience will include top notch break-out sessions, hands-on engagement opportunities, professional development, and networking events. 

ASID GO PRO October. 15-16, 2015, Brooklyn, NY  Specifically developed for emerging designers within their first few years of practice and graduating design students, GO PRO 2015 invites 100 attendees to learn from industry thought leaders and connect with peer design professionals to inspire their work and launch their career.

JAMES MICHAEL HOWARD Interior Design Internship with Phoebe Howard- Residential Interior Designer based in Atlanta, Georgia and Jacksonville Beach, Florida

  • Assisted in client meetings, materials reviews, and on site visits

  • Researched initial precedent images, materials and FF&E based on direction given by the client
  • Selected and arranged presentations of fabric selections and finish palettes
  • Creates AutoCAD floor plans, furniture plans, and elevations of proposed plan

  • Worked from beginning to end of production for a new test kitchen for Martha Bakes, video production, and editorial use (in the October ‘14 issue)
  • Created AutoCAD floor plans and 3-D model of proposed space plan on Google Sketch-Up
  • Completed technical drawings of cabinet details and fixtures based on the direction of senior designer
  • Worked efficiently under a short two month time frame to design, overview construction, and style the set in accordance to MSLO standards
  • Preliminary hand line sketches of inspiration for specific organization callouts for the kitchen to consider in the space plan and overall design
  •   Attended and participated in several Macy’s buy meetings for the MS home goods line
